Laboratory of Quality Control for Bee products

Welcome  in the official site of Laboratory of Quality Control for Bee Products Cluj.  APHIS was initiated  in 2005, in the frame of INFRAS research and obtained  RENAR accreditation after implementation of the management systen of   SR EN ISO/CEI 17025:2005.

Laboratory is working in the University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine Cluj-Napoca , in the Department of Apiculture and Sericiculture. 

The main goal of our laboratory is performing  sensorial, phisico-chemical and palinological analysis of honey, contaminants analysis (antibiotics and heavy metals) .

Laboratory established as future goals the development and validation of new methods for determination of contaminants from bee products such as: antibiotics and their metabolites, pesticides, acaricides and insecticides .

Analyses are performed  on modern  equipments, following methods from Codex Alimentarius  accepted al european level.

Laboratory Organigrama  embrace specialists from different domains: animal breeding, biotechnology, chemistry and food technology, havinf PhDand with numerous research stages in renowned Universities and Institutes from Europe and United States of America.
